Regular Season Round 24: Moron - Myrtia 70-66

Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Moron (13-12) won against 10th ranked Myrtia (11-13) in Morón de la Frontera 70-66 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a good game for Guinean forward Cheick-Sekou Conde (203-92) who led his team to a victory with 30 points and 5 blocks. Point guard Jose-Antonio Marco (179-89) contributed with 5 points and 11 assists for the winners. Italian-Argentinian swingman Juan-Ignacio Jasen (196-85) replied with 15 points and 5 assists and American center Chris Matagrano (206-90, college: New Hampshire) added 18 points in the effort for Myrtia. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Moron moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Myrtia keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Moron will face higher ranked Albacete (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Myrtia will play against Plasencia (#13) and hope to win that game.
