No shocking result in a game when first ranked Chiba Jets (31-11) outleveled on the road 5th ranked Shimane Magic (7-35) 104-60 on Saturday. Chiba Jets forced 19 Shimane Magic turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Shimane Magic's players. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) helped adding 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Jameel McKay (206-92, college: Iowa St.) scored 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Chiba Jets. They maintain first place with 31-11 record, which they share with Toyota Alvark. Shimane Magic lost their sixteenth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with 35 games lost. Chiba Jets will face Tochigi Brex (#4) at home in the next round. Shimane Magic will play against the league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa and hope to win that game.
