The game in Rotterdam was also quite interesting. Second ranked Den Bosch (17-4) played at the court of 5th ranked Rotterdam (13-10). Den Bosch managed to secure a 9-point victory 89-80 on Saturday. The former international center Nick Oudendag (210-87) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners and British V.Islands forward Norville Carey (201-93, college: Rider, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Oudendag is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Den Bosch players scored in double figures. At the losing side Belgian point guard Ordane Kanda-Kanyinda (186-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists and American swingman Trevor Setty (203-89, college: Pikeville) scored 30 points and 7 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Den Bosch. They maintain second place with 17-4 record having just two points less than leader Groningen. Loser Rotterdam keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Den Bosch will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rotterdam will play against Leiden (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
