Regular Season Round 42: Toyotsu FE - Cyberdyne IR 104-110

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Toyotsu FE (26-15) in Nagoya on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Cyberdyne IR (20-20) 110-104. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Toyotsu FE. Cyberdyne IR made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Toyotsu FE 45-30 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cyberdyne IR looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Toyotsu FE helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import forward Toarlyn Fitzpatrick (203-89, college: S.Florida) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Cyberdyne IR players scored in double figures. American forward Rodney Carney (201-84, college: Memphis) replied with 40 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and point guard Kohei Fukuzawa (177-93) added 21 points in the effort for Toyotsu FE. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cyberdyne IR moved-up to third place, which they share with Kanazawa Sam. Toyotsu FE at the other side still keeps top position with 15 games lost. Cyberdyne IR will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toyotsu FE will play again at home against Cyberdyne IR and is hoping to win this game.
