Very expected game when 9th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (4-26) lost at home to fourth ranked Tokyo Excel. (19-11) 98-88 on Saturday. Tokyo Excel. outrebounded Tokyo Cinq R. 39-26 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Tokyo Cinq R.'s players. American players dominated the game. Quite impressive performance for Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Five Tokyo Excel. players scored in double figures. Guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) replied with 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and forward Drew Martin (203-94, college: Concordia, OR, agency: Court Side) added 13 points and 5 steals (made all of his seven free throws) in the effort for Tokyo Cinq R.Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo Excel. have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Saitama Bron. Tokyo Cinq R. lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. Tokyo Excel.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Big Blue.
