We should mention about the upset which took place in Caceres, where 4th placed Universitario de Ferrol (16-7) lost to tenth ranked Al-Qazeres (10-13) in a road game 43-53. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Universitario de Ferrol. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Al-Qazeres dominated on the defensive end, holding Universitario de Ferrol to just 4 points in fourth quarter. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Joy Brown (180-93, college: Iona) who led the winners and scored 8 points and 14 rebounds. Power forward Rita-Esther Montenegro (188-82, agency: ProDep Management) accounted for 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. International power forward Maria Araujo (182-97) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Alexis Prince (188-94, college: Baylor, agency: LBM Management) added 18 points respectively for Universitario de Ferrol in the defeat. Al-Qazeres moved-up to ninth place. Universitario de Ferrol at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Al-Qazeres' next round opponent will be Araski (#11) in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Universitario de Ferrol will play at home against AE Sedis (#7) and hope to win that game.
