NEBL top team - San Pedro T. (8-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Verdes (2-5) 92-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Verdes. They outrebounded Verdes 48-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. San Pedro T. players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The winners were led by Martevuius Adams who scored that evening 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard Jamal Kelly (-90) supported him with 17 points and 6 assists. Four San Pedro T. players scored in double figures. Even 32 points and 9 rebounds by the former international forward Richard Troyer (196-84, college: Utah Valley) did not help to save the game for Verdes. The former international forward Gene Myvett (193-82, college: CS Los Angeles) added 8 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. San Pedro T. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-1 record. Newly promoted Verdes keep the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Belmopan B.. San Pedro T. will play against Smart Belize H. (#4) in Belize City in the next round. Verdes will have a break next round.
