Very important is a loss of second ranked Yulon Luxgen (15-10) against fifth ranked Fubon Braves (12-14) on Saturday night. Yulon Luxgen was defeated by Fubon Braves 92-81. Yulon Luxgen was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American center Garret Siler (213-86, college: Augusta) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. The former international swingman Wen-Cheng Tsai (190-85) helped adding 11 points and 12 rebounds. Five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. The former international forward Cheng-Ju Lu (194-86) responded with 23 points and international Po-Chen Chou (196-90) scored 6 points and 15 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fubon Braves maintains fifth place with 12-14 record. Yulon Luxgen at the other side keeps the second position with ten games lost. Fubon Braves will play against higher ranked Dacin Tigers (#3) in Taipei in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yulon Luxgen will play against the league's leader Pauian and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
