Regular Season Round 22: Orleans - Saint-Chamond 100-90

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Entente Orleans 45 (18-4) defeated at home 5th ranked Saint Chamond (14-8) 100-90 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Entente Orleans 45. Saint Chamond was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Entente Orleans 45 looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley, agency: Inception Sports) fired 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Entente Orleans 45's coach Germain Castano used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Jonathan Hoyaux (195-88) produced 18 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian swingman Andreja Milutinovic (199-90) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five Entente Orleans 45 and four Saint Chamond players scored in double figures. Entente Orleans 45 keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Blois. Loser Saint Chamond keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Entente Orleans 45 will face Caen (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Saint Chamond will play against Denain Voltaire (#8) and hope to win that game.
