Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Tokyo: Tokyo Big Blue (#8) and Otsuka A. (#2). Tokyo Big Blue (5-25) won against visiting Otsuka A. (23-9) 81-73. Tokyo Big Blue made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. American center Joe Wolfinger (216-85, college: Citadel) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 20 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Kota Goto (176-94) supported him with 25 points. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) did not help to save the game for Otsuka A.. His fellow American import forward Ray Nixon (203-84, college: Wisconsin) added 18 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Otsuka A.'s coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Tokyo Big Blue have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 5-25 record. Loser Otsuka A. keeps the second place with nine games lost.
