Regular Season Round 21: Monaco - Dijon 88-69

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Dijon (10-8) was crushed on the road by thirteenth ranked Monaco (10-11) 88-69 on Saturday. Monaco outrebounded Dijon 38-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. DR Congolese Shekinah Munanga (201-97) stepped up and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and guard Luc Loubaki (191-97) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Monaco players scored in double figures. Monaco's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was Swiss point guard Noah Burrell (190-97) with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Nicolas Dorez (204-99) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Monaco moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Le Portel. Loser Dijon dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Monaco will face bottom-ranked Antibes (#18) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
