Regular Season Round 20: AIK II - BG Lulea 65-79

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked BG Lulea (10-9) defeated 12th ranked AIK II (2-17) in Solna 79-65 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by BG Lulea. AIK II was better in third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded AIK II 49-31 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. BG Lulea looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when BG Lulea made 7 blocks. Forward Alexander Yemane (200-99) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 6 rebounds. Denzel George (191-1) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Max Spreitz (180-99) replied with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and Serbian Milan Milosevic (-99) added 22 points and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in the effort for AIK II. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory BG Lulea went down to sixth position due to points difference. Newly promoted AIK II keeps the twelfth place with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
