Regular Season Round 22: Cholet - Le Portel 76-84

There was a small surprise when thirteenth ranked Le Portel (10-12) beat on the road 10th ranked Cholet Basket (10-12) 84-76 on Saturday. Cholet Basket trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 28-25 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 76-84 at the end of the game. Quite impressive performance for American guard Trae Golden (189-91, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists. The other American import point guard Tweety Carter (180-86, college: Baylor) contributed with 22 points for the winners. International point guard Jonathan Rousselle (188-90) replied with 20 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and center Jerry Boutsiele (207-92) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Cholet Basket. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Le Portel moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Cholet Basket. Le Portel will face Boulazac Basket (#17) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
