Date: March 10, 2018
An interesting game for CB Granada (18-6) which hosted in Granada 4th ranked Albacete (15-9). Second ranked CB Granada managed to get a 13-point victory 77-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Albacete. The game was mostly controlled by CB Granada. Albacete managed to win third quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for point guard Carlos Corts (182-97) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Manuel Rodriguez (192-91) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Jose Ortega (188-97) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Jose-Luis Otero (203-89) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Albacete. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CB Granada keeps a position of league leader, which they share with La Roda and Lucentum. Albacete at the other side keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. CB Granada is looking forward to face Real Canoe (#10) in Madrid in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Albacete will play at home against Moron (#7) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
