There was no surprise when 10th ranked Blancos de Rueda (11-15) was defeated on the road by third ranked CB Prat (20-6) 67-57. CB Prat outrebounded Blancos de Rueda 39-28 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Marlon Johnson (208, college: N.Mexico Highlands, agency: Two Points) notched 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Lithuanian center Martynas Andriuskevicius (218-86, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four CB Prat players scored in double figures. Even 20 points by American guard Greg Gantt (188-91, college: Florida Atlantic) did not help to save the game for Blancos de Rueda. Center Sergio De-La-Fuente (198-89) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Blancos de Rueda's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. CB Prat moved-up to second place, which they share with Manresa. Blancos de Rueda lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth position with 15 games lost. CB Prat's next round opponent will be Araberri (#9) in Vitoria-Gasteiz and are hoping to win another game. Blancos de Rueda will play at home against Lleida Basquet and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
