There was an upset when higher ranked ALS Basket (12-13) lost to thirteenth ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (11-14) in Boulogne-sur-Mer 73-79 on Saturday. SO Maritime Boulogne looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Quite impressive performance for center Adolphe-Michel Jean-Baptiste (206-79) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American-British guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four SO Maritime Boulogne players scored in double figures. Bosnian power forward Nemanja Kovanusic (204-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and American forward Jonathan Mitchell (201-87, college: Rutgers, agency: Inception Sports) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for ALS Basket. SO Maritime Boulogne moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Brissac-Aubance and Souffel. Loser ALS Basket dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. SO Maritime Boulogne will face GET Vosges (#15) in Golbey in the next round.
