Important game to mention about took place in Rijeka. Sixth ranked Kvarner (8-8) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 4th ranked Bulldogs (9-7) 67-64 on Saturday evening. Bulldogs were ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 22-16 charge of Kvarner, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 23 Bulldogs turnovers. Strangely Bulldogs outrebounded Kvarner 40-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Dino Samanic (190-94) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 assists and forward Tin Krstic (-96) who added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Marko Dmitrovic (207-89) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and guard Mario Galic (196-89) scored 15 points. Four Bulldogs players scored in double figures. Bulldogs' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kvarner maintains sixth position with 8-8 record. Bulldogs at the other side keep the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Bosco. Kvarner will play against Borovo (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Bulldogs will play against Istrauni (#7) and hope to get back on the winning track.
