Regular Season Round 42: Ehime OV - Akita NH 75-80

An interesting game for Akita Happinets (38-4) which played road game in Matsuyama against 3rd ranked Orange Vikings (23-19). First ranked Akita Happinets managed to get a 5-point victory 80-75. Akita Happinets forced 19 Orange Vikings turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for Bahamas power forward Kadeem Coleby (206-89, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. American center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Coleby is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Akita Happinets' coach Josep Claros used entire bench in such tough game. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds and Vincentian power forward Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) added 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Orange Vikings. Akita Happinets have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 38-4 record. Loser Orange Vikings keep the third place with 19 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
