LF2 top team - Real Celta Vigo (18-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Barca CBS (13-9) 82-42. The game without a history. Real Celta Vigo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Barca CBS's 28. Real Celta Vigo forced 20 Barca CBS turnovers and outrebounded them 40-27 including 32 on the defensive glass. Mali center Minata Keita (190-89) scored 17 points to lead the charge for the winners and center Raquel Carrera (188-1) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Real Celta Vigo players scored in double figures. At the losing side Carla Perez (-91) responded with 8 points and point guard Lucia Pablos (172-85, college: Northeastern) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Real Celta Vigo maintains first position in Group A with 18-4 record. Newly promoted Barca CBS keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. Real Celta Vigo will play against Cortegada (#6) in Vilagarcia Arousa in the next round where they are favorite. Barca CBS will play at home against Maquinaria Ensino and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
