Regular Season Round 22: Gran Canaria - Adareva 88-52

Date: March 10, 2018
LF2 top team - Gran Canaria (21-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Adareva (4-18) in Las Palmas 88-52. The game without a history. Gran Canaria led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game, while Adareva only scored three points from the stripe. Gran Canaria had a 32-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Iris Junio (185-99) notched 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Senegalese guard Diodio Diouf (170-84) supported her with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Gran Canaria players scored in double figures. Even 17 points by Kim Tabares did not help to save the game for Adareva. American forward TyDesheaia Pool (185, college: SE Louisiana) added 6 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gran Canaria have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group B with 21-1 record. Adareva at the other side keeps the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Olimpico 64. Gran Canaria will meet Distrito Olimpico (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Adareva will play against the league's second-placed Valencia and hope to secure a win.
