There was a small surprise in Arkadia where fourteenth ranked Arkadikos (6-15) beat 12th ranked Papagou (8-13) 81-72. The hosts were ahead by 7 points but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 26-12 run, which allowed them to win the game. Arkadikos dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Papagou's 28. Arkadikos forced 20 Papagou turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Papagou helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Giannis Prodromou (196-87) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and Swedish guard Jordan Peltier (193-95) accounted for 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Prodromou is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Arkadikos' coach Tzimis Koustenis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Petros Melissaratos (205-93) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and point guard Konstantinos Zorzos (188-96) added 13 points and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) respectively for Papagou in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Arkadikos maintains fourteenth place with 6-15 record. Newly promoted Papagou keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Arkadikos' next round opponent will be higher ranked Apollon Patras (#4) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
