Second Stage Round 2: Gomel-Sozh - Gorizont 55-90

An interesting game for Gorizont (17-10) which played road game in Gomel against Gomel-Sozh (12-15). Gorizont had an easy win 90-55. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Gomel-Sozh to an opponent 22.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 52.1 percent accuracy of the winners. Gorizont had a 36-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Gomel-Sozh's players. Russian center Anna Nuzhnaya (194-92) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Daryna Bachkarova (180-0) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Gorizont's coach Nataliya Trafimava felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Tatsiana Tsyruliova (168-88) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and forward Anna Hatskevich (180-92) scored 2 points and 17 rebounds. Gorizont's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Tsmoki-Minsk.
