Regular Season Round 24: Dinamo Tbilisi - Mgzavrebi 85-67

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tbilisi: Dinamo Tbilisi (#3) and Mgzavrebi (#7). Dinamo Tbilisi (14-7) smashed visiting Mgzavrebi (7-14) by 18 points 85-67. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Dinamo Tbilisi forced 23 Mgzavrebi turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Kiel Turpin (213-89, college: Florida St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Raven Lee (190-93, college: E.Michigan, agency: Interperformances) who added 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Dinamo Tbilisi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Adrian Bowie (189-89, college: Maryland) with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Cameroonian forward Bertrand Nkali (206-92, college: Houston) scored 7 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Mgzavrebi's coach Anatoli Berishvili rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Dinamo Tbilisi have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Rustavi. Mgzavrebi at the other side keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Dinamo Tbilisi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Olimpi.
