Regular Season Round 22: Toyoda Gosei - Saitama Bron. 68-64

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Saitama Broncos (19-11) against fifth ranked Toyoda Gosei (17-13) on Sunday night. Visiting Saitama Broncos were defeated by Toyoda Gosei in a tough game in Aichi 64-68. American forward Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Eiji Sumihiro (171-89) chipped in 14 points. Senegalese power forward Cheikh Sane (207-92, college: Marshall) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Masaya Ueda (177-93) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Saitama Broncos players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Toyoda Gosei maintains fifth position with 17-13 record. Saitama Broncos at the other side keep the third place with 11 games lost. Toyoda Gosei's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Aichi to the arena Aisin AW.
