Regular Season Round 21: Ulriken - Gimle Pride 49-54

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Bergen: Gimle Pride (#3) and Ulriken (#5). Ulriken was defeated at home 49-54 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Ulriken trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 17-9 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 49-54 at the end of the game. Gimle Pride dominated on the defensive end, holding Ulriken to just 6 points in third quarter. They also forced 20 Ulriken turnovers. It was a good game for the former international guard Henriette Ellingsen (170-87, college: Arkansas Tech) who led her team to a victory with 18 points. Guard Julie Winther (178-87) contributed with 2 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Lise Breivik (181-93) answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Vilde Tveito (182-95) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Ulriken. Gimle Pride (11-6) moved-up to second place, which they share with Hoybraten. Ulriken at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Gimle Pride's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Bergen Bergen.
