Regular Season Round 43: Toyotsu FE - Cyberdyne IR 79-76

Fourth-ranked Cyberdyne IR (20-21) gave a tough game to first ranked Toyotsu FE (27-15) in Nagoya on Sunday. Toyotsu FE managed to secure only three-point victory 79-76. However their fans expected easier game. Toyotsu FE forced 19 Cyberdyne IR turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Rodney Carney (201-84, college: Memphis) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) helped adding 16 points. At the losing side American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and guard Yuji Takahashi (183-91) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Cyberdyne IR players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Toyotsu FE maintains first place with 27-15 record. Cyberdyne IR at the other side dropped to the third position with 21 games lost. They share it with Kanazawa Sam.. Toyotsu FE are looking forward to face league's leader Akita Happinets on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cyberdyne IR will play against Aomori Watts and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
