Regular Season Round 22: Aalto-Basket - MuKi 49-87

Very predictable result in Espoo where third ranked MuKi (17-5) smashed 11th ranked Aalto-Basket (2-20) 87-49. The game was mostly controlled by MuKi. Aalto-Basket was better in second period 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Aalto-Basket 51-39 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of center Eetu Lahdetniemi (205-0) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Joonas Timonen (188-0) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four MuKi players scored in double figures. MuKi's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Oliver Kaisti replied with 19 points and Atte Lohman added 6 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Aalto-Basket. MuKi moved-up to second place, which they share with HNMKY U23. Aalto-Basket lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 20 games lost.
