Regular Season Round 26: Ardoi - Zornotza 87-96

There was no surprise in Zizur Mayor where 10th ranked Ardoi (9-15) was defeated by second ranked Zornotza (23-1) 96-87 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American guard Richaud Pack (191-92, college: Maryland) who scored 32 points. Swingman Ander Garcia (194-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Zornotza players scored in double figures. Naturalized Ukrainian forward Anton Savitski (196-86) produced 46 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and guard Ignacio Urtasun (187-80) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Ardoi's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Zornotza have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group A-A leader, which they share with Estela. Loser Ardoi stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Zornotza will face league's leader Estela in Santander in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ardoi will play on the road against La Fecha (#9) in Arroyo Encomienda and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
