There was no surprise when 7th ranked Kleb Ferrara (13-11) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Treviso Basket (15-9) 74-60 on Sunday. Treviso Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Matteo Fantinelli (196-93, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international point guard Matteo Imbro (192-94) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Riccardo Cortese (195-86) who recorded 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international power forward Tommaso Fantoni (204-85, agency: Players Group) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Kleb Ferrara's coach Alberto Martelossi rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Treviso Basket moved-up to fourth place in A2. Loser Kleb Ferrara dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. Treviso Basket will face league's second-placed F.Kontatto BO in Bologna in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kleb Ferrara will play on the road against the league's leader Alma Trieste (#1) and hope to win that game.
