Regular Season Round 22: Huima - PuHu Juniorit 98-68

Not a big story in a game in Aanekoski where 12th ranked PuHu Juniorit (1-21) was rolled over by ninth ranked Aanekosken Huima (8-14) 98-68. The game was mostly controlled by Aanekosken Huima. PuHu Juniorit was better in fourth quarter 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aanekosken Huima dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to PuHu Juniorit's 44. Aanekosken Huima forced 28 PuHu Juniorit turnovers and outrebounded them 44-33 including 19 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Joni Pohjonen (203-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Swingman Jarmo Uecker (189-95) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Aanekosken Huima players scored in double figures. Aanekosken Huima's coach Juha Sten felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Mikko Visakko (187-97) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Riku Pollanen added 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for PuHu Juniorit. Newly promoted Aanekosken Huima maintains ninth position with 8-14 record. PuHu Juniorit lost twenty first consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 21 games lost.
