Important game to mention about took place in S'Arenal. Second ranked Pardinyes-L. (15-5) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Palma II (13-7) 72-71 on Sunday evening. Palma II was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Forward Javier Mendiburu (197-80) saved the victory by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Pol Domingo (198-90) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Pardinyes-L.'s coach Gerard Encuentra allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Center Carlos Bustamante (201-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and forward Biel Serra (192) added 15 points in the effort for Palma II. Pardinyes-L. maintains second position in Group C-B with 15-5 record having just two points less than leader Vic. Palma II at the other side keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. Pardinyes-L. will play against Cornella (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Palma II will play against Cerdanyola in Cerdanyola del Valle and hopes to get back on the winning track.
