Regular Season Round 27: San-en - Ryukyu GK 64-62

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Ryukyu GK (32-10) in Hamamatsu on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by third ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (21-21) 64-62. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. It was a great evening for American forward Robert Dozier (206-85, college: Memphis) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. The former international center Atsuya Ota (206-84) helped adding 11 points and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was international forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Hassan Martin (201-95, college: Rhode Island) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Ryukyu GK's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. San-en NeoPhoenix have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Hokkaido L. Ryukyu GK at the other side still keeps top position with ten games lost. San-en NeoPhoenix is looking forward to face Niigata Albirex (#4) at home in the next round. Ryukyu GK will play against Shimane Magic and is hoping to win this game.
