Regular Season Round 16: Istrauni - Agrodalm 72-75

Seventh-ranked Istrauni (7-9) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Agrodalm (12-4) in Pula on Sunday. The visitors from Zagreb managed to secure only three-point victory 75-72. However their fans expected much easier game. Istrauni was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Damir Mijic (201-87) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Nikola Baran (204-87, college: Rollins) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Agrodalm's coach Josko Garma used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Center Teo Simovic (206-84, agency: PEPI SPORT) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Kristijan Andabaka (195-97) added 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Istrauni. Five Istrauni players scored in double figures. Agrodalm maintains second position with 12-4 record having four points less than leader Gorica. Istrauni at the other side keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Agrodalm are looking forward to face Podravac Virje (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Istrauni will play against Bulldogs in Zagreb and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
