Undefeated leader Panathinaikos delivered the eighteenth consecutive win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 13th ranked Panionios (4-14) 97-53 in Athens. Panathinaikos dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Panionios' 22. They outrebounded Panionios 45-21 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Panathinaikos looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Panionios' players. The best player for the winners was naturalized American center Zach Auguste (208-93, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 12 points and 5 assists. Four Panathinaikos players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Vagel Sakellariou (195-89, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 17 points and American point guard Tyrone Brazelton (184-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 13 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
