Zalgiris II cruised past KTU in the playoffs opener. Zalgiris II dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to KTU's 38 and made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Zalgiris II forced 21 KTU turnovers and had a 27-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Zalgiris II especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Swingman Matas Jogela (198-98) fired 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. International center Martynas Sajus (208-96) chipped in 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Zalgiris II players scored in double figures. Forward Justinas Marcinkevicius (202-98) produced 9 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Matas Sapiega (178-90) added 15 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
