Very important is a home loss of second ranked Twarde Pierniki (18-7) against eleventh ranked Rosa (13-11) on Wednesday night. Host Twarde Pierniki was defeated by Rosa in a tough game in Torun 72-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Twarde Pierniki. Rosa looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. International swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92) scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard AJ English (192-92, college: Iona) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Rosa's coach Wojciech Kaminski used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: E.Kentucky, agency: 3Eye) responded with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and international Aaron Cel (203-87) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Rosa moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Polpharma and Trefl. Loser Twarde Pierniki keeps the second position with seven games lost. Rosa will meet at home higher ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Twarde Pierniki will play against Start in Lublin and hope to secure a win.
