No shocking result in a game in Krosno where twelfth ranked Polpharma (13-11) defeated 15th ranked Miasto Szkla (8-16) 78-71 on Wednesday. Polpharma shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. American guard Joe Thomasson (193-93, college: Wright St., agency: Two Points) fired 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. Bosnian Aleksandar Radukic (206-91, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Polpharma players scored in double figures. American forward Jayvaughn Pinkston (201-91, college: Villanova) produced 24 points and 9 rebounds and Latvian guard Davis Lejasmeiers (192-91) added 11 points and 11 assists respectively for lost side. Miasto Szkla's coach Kamil Piechucki rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Polpharma moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Rosa and Trefl. Loser Miasto Szkla keeps the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Polpharma will face PGE Turow (#10) in Zgorzelec in the next round. Miasto Szkla will play at home against AZS Koszalin (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
