Regular Season Round 22: MKS DG - PGE Turow 107-85

There was no surprise when 10th ranked PGE Turow (13-13) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (16-9) 107-85 on Wednesday. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to PGE Turow's 32. They outrebounded PGE Turow 41-27 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for MKS Dabrowa Gornicza especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Serbian point guard Jovan Novak (188-94, agency: BeoBasket) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. American swingman Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American guard Cameron Ayers (196-91, college: Bucknell) produced 15 points and Serbian forward Stefan Balmazovic (199-89) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five MKS Dabrowa Gornicza and four PGE Turow players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza moved-up to third place. PGE Turow lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will face Rosa (#9) in Radom in the next round where they are favorite. PGE Turow will play at home against Polpharma and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
