Regular Season Round 4: Brasilia - Macae 65-62

A very interesting game took place in Brasilia. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Macae (1-4) to sixth ranked Brasilia (2-2) 65-62 on Thursday evening. 25 personal fouls committed by Macae helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by forward Leonardo De-Souza (200-96) who scored that evening 19 points and 6 rebounds and Jose-Mauro Barrozo (201-96) supported him with 10 points. Brasilia's coach Brenno Brassioli allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by point guard Pedrinho Wellausen (183-95) did not help to save the game for Macae. Guard Gustavo Cortes (191-95) added 14 points and 4 assists for lost side. Brasilia moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Londrina. Macae at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Brasilia's next round opponent will be league's leader Sao Jose at home and it may be quite challenging game. Macae will play against Cerrado (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
