Barrio Parque (#5) was upset in Santa Fe by eighth ranked Union SF 79-59. Union SF outrebounded Barrio Parque 40-23 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Haitian-American forward James Cambronne (201-91, college: St.Michael's) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 18 rebounds. Forward Rodrigo Sanchez (200-89) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Cambronne is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Union SF players scored in double figures. Union SF's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Nicolas Lauria (202-88) who recorded 9 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Lenjo Kilo (203-93, college: Savannah St.) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Union SF (17-15) moved-up to sixth place in North. Loser Barrio Parque keeps the fifth position with 18 games lost. Union SF will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Barrio Parque will play against Talleres TV (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
