Very significant was Cathay Life's (#1, 13-1) victory against second-ranked Taiyuan Textile (9-5) 60-53. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Taiyuan Textile. Cathay Life dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Taiyuan Textile's 32. Cathay Life forced 20 Taiyuan Textile turnovers and outrebounded them 43-28 including 30 on the defensive glass.
