Regular Season Round 24: Fubon Braves - Bank of Taiwan 83-71

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Fubon Braves' (13-15) victory over 6th ranked Bank of Taiwan (10-18) 83-71 on Friday. Fubon Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Bank of Taiwan's 30. They outrebounded Bank of Taiwan 54-31 including a 41-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Wen-Cheng Tsai (190-85) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. American center Garret Siler (213-86, college: Augusta) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. Four Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and forward Jie Guo-Shao (190-90) added 15 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fubon Braves maintains fifth position with 13-15 record. Bank of Taiwan lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Taiwan Beer. Fubon Braves will meet league's leader Pauian in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bank of Taiwan will play against the league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen (#2) and hope to secure a win.
