Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Lleida Basquet (10-17) lost to twelfth ranked Blancos de Rueda (12-15) in Valladolid 60-75 on Friday. Blancos de Rueda dominated on the defensive end, holding Lleida Basquet to just 6 points in second quarter. It was a good game for forward Alejandro Reyes (197-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Oscar Alvarado (184-91) contributed with 13 points and 9 assists for the winners. Four Blancos de Rueda players scored in double figures. Canadian-Jamaican point guard Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson (178-91, college: Calgary) answered with 18 points and American guard Tim Derksen (193-94, college: USF) added 6 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Lleida Basquet. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Blancos de Rueda moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Araberri. Lleida Basquet lost fifth consecutive game. Loser Lleida Basquet dropped to the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Blancos de Rueda will face Caceres Basket (#12) on the road in the next round. Lleida Basquet will play against the league's second-placed CB Prat where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
