Regular Season Round 25: Agustinos-Leclerc - Martorell 91-81

Everything went according to plan in Leon where fourteenth ranked Agustinos-Leclerc (10-15) beat bottom-ranked Martorell (4-21) 91-81. The game was mostly controlled by Agustinos-Leclerc. Martorell was better in third quarter 27-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Agustinos-Leclerc won last quarter 28-20. It was a very good performance for guard Anton Bouzan (188-95) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Alvaro Sanz (190-98, agency: Duran International) contributed with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Xavi Guirao (190-87) answered with 20 points and 4 steals and forward Albert Homs (201-94) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Martorell. Five Agustinos-Leclerc and four Martorell players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Agustinos-Leclerc moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Cambados. Martorell lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 21 lost games. Agustinos-Leclerc's next round opponent will be Zamorano (#15) on the road. Martorell will play against Fontedoso Carrefour and hope to win that game.
