Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Nice (3-15) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Lyon (11-7) 67-54 on Friday. Lyon outrebounded Nice 38-26 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was international power forward Marieme Badiane (190-94) who scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international power forward Geraldine Robert (183-80) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Lyon's coach Valery Demory used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
