The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Almeria's (13-8) home victory over 7th ranked Huelva (12-10) 90-70 on Saturday. It was a good game for point guard Roberto Rueda (182-86) who led his team to a victory with 26 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Jesus Castro (191-83) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Jeremiah Davis-III (190-93, college: Florida Southern) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Colton Lewis (206, college: Virginia Union) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Huelva. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Almeria. Newly promoted Almeria maintains sixth place in Group D-Clasif with 13-8 record. Loser Huelva dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Almeria will face league's leader Algeciras on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Huelva will play against CAM E.Soler (#3) and hope to win that game.
