Important game to mention about took place in Scrivia. Fourth ranked Scrivia (17-6) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Milano (14-9) 51-49 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Slovenian power forward Ana Ljubenovic (185-88) who led the winners and scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized Brazilian swingman Tayara Madonna (170-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) accounted for 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Forward Martina Picotti (184-90) came up with 8 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Paola Novati (184-98) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Milano in the defeat. Milano's coach Ugo Pinotti rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Scrivia maintains fourth place in A2 with 17-6 record. Milano at the other side dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Scrivia will play against higher ranked Alpo VF (#3) in Verona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Milano will play at home against Bolzano (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
