There was no surprise when 10th ranked Sevilla 2 (4-18) was edged at home by eighth ranked Multiopticas Baza (7-14) 70-68 on Saturday. Multiopticas Baza outrebounded Sevilla 2 38-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for center Jorge Rodriguez (198-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Sergio Alvarez (-96) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. A Da-Silva answered with 25 points and Lithuanian forward Tomas Balciunas (202-0) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Sevilla 2. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Multiopticas Baza. They maintain eighth place in Group D-Permam with 7-14 record. Sevilla 2 lost their ninth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Multiopticas Baza will face higher ranked San Juan (#7) in San Juan del Puerto in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sevilla 2 will play on the road against the league's leader Coin where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
