Leader Gembo BBC delivered the seventeenth victory. This time they crushed 13th ranked Ninane (6-17) 80-55 in Borgerhout. They outrebounded Ninane 49-35 including 35 on the defensive glass. Gembo BBC players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 14 blocks. It was a good game for Jens Bouckaert (-91) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Philippe Peeters (188-95) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Gembo BBC players scored in double figures. Gembo BBC's coach Glenn De Boeck felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Sebastien Maio (190-78) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Yannick Moray (199-91) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ninane. Gembo BBC have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-5 record. Ninane lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 17 games lost. Gembo BBC will play against Spirou B (#4) in Charleroi in the next round. Ninane will play at home against Royal Brussels (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
