Regular Season Round 27: Innova Chef - Carbajosa 82-77

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Innova Chef (13-12) won against 5th ranked Carbajosa (14-11) in Zamora 82-77 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Carbajosa won third quarter 18-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Innova Chef won last quarter 20-17. It was a good game for American swingman Corey Raley-Ross (193-91, college: Buffalo) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Pedro de-la-Calle (185-91) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Gabriel Roman (185-97) answered with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Trinidad and Tobago-Canadian center Richard Peters (211-93, college: CS Fullerton, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Carbajosa. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Innova Chef moved-up to sixth place in Group A-B, which they share with Ponferrada CDP and Betanzos. Newly promoted Carbajosa dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. Innova Chef will face COB (#11) in Ourense in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Carbajosa will play on the road against Coruna II (#13) and hope to win that game.
